The Department of Science Teaching at Syracuse University is a partnership between The College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education. The department is an international leader in science literacy, underscored by our commitment to training K-16 science teachers and professors to be leaders in their fields. Rigorous and interdisciplinary, our programs lead to adolescence teacher certifications, master’s degrees in science education, and doctoral degrees in science education and college science teaching. Moreover, our programs are distinguished by their commitment to inquiry-based teaching and to cutting-edge research.
